6 Petal Flowers

6 Petal Flowers
There are two different types of 6 petaled flowers. They look very much alike, but, because they have two different middles, they are slightly different. The middles set up the basis for the flower, so the bigger the middle, the bigger around the flower will be. The one on the left is somewhat larger than the ones on the right. As you make more flowers, you will decide for yourself which ones you prefer.
-On-the-Left Middle-
Ch 5 and join to form a circle.
Round 1: ch 1, insert marker (I like to use a stray bobby pin) 11sc into main hole. join into marked ch1 and take out the marker.
Round 2: Ch5, *skip one sc and dc into the next sc, Ch2. Repeat * around. Join the last ch2 with a sl st into the third of the original ch5.
-On-the-Right Middle-
Ch5 and join to form a circle.
Round 1: Ch5 and *dc into the main hole, ch2. Repeat* 4 times. Join the last ch2 with a sl st into the third of the original ch5.
-Petals-
Round 1: Join the new color with a sl st into first chain loop. Ch2, and into the same chain loop, 7dc, 1sc. *Into next chain loop, 1sc, 8dc, 1sc. Repeat * around.
-This should make you 6 petals. If you don't have 8 petals, something went wrong.-
Round 2: You will work behind he petals you just made. In the back, between two petals, you will see a "V". Sl st onto that V between two petals. Ch4, *1sc between next two petals, ch3. Repeat * around and join with a sl st into first ch.
5th round: Sl st into the loop to the right. (The loop you just made). Work 1sc, 10dc, 1sc into each chain loop around. Join with a sl st.
